St. Charles Nissan/Hyundai is hiring a Technician. You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs which include lube, oil, and filter changes, balancing and rotation of tires, flushing cooling systems etc.
Hours: Choice of 4, 10-hour shifts or 5, 8-hour shifts
Automotive Technician/Mechanic Job duties include:

Performing work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

Saving and tagging parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.

Examining assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.

Communicating with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.

Documenting all work performed and recommended on the repair order.

Road testing vehicles.

Participating in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.

Keeping abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.

Reporting machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.

Ensuring that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifying service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.

Keeping shop area neat and clean.

Maintaining and being accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returning them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.

Understanding, keeping abreast of, and complying with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.

Operating all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

Reporting any safety issues immediately to management.
Automotive Technician/Mechanic Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

2 Years Automotive Experience.

High School or equivalent education with advanced technician training.

Missouri State and Emissions License is preferred.

This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. as well as standing all day and moving into awkward positions (i.e. bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and getting in and out of vehicles).
