We are currently seeking a Costing Auditor to join our Service team in Lynchburg, VA. Pay Range: $40,000 - $60,000 annually

The Costing Auditor is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and accurately assigning costs to service tickets, including spot calls, projects, and preventative maintenance work. This position works closely with service technicians, vendors, and internal teams to ensure labor, materials, and equipment costs are documented correctly and invoicing information is complete and accurate.

Provide material costing for all service tickets, including spot calls, projects, and preventative maintenance work.

Verify vendor receipt costs match pricing entered in the company purchase order system.

Contact vendors to obtain pricing when receipts are unavailable and follow up daily to obtain invoices.

Review technician work descriptions and add applicable material and equipment costs to invoices.

Track and verify the use of purchase orders associated with service tickets.

Communicate regularly with service technicians regarding missing or incomplete purchase order information.

Notify the Accounting Manager when tickets are expected to remain open across accounting periods.

Maintain accurate records and documentation to support billing and financial processes.

Assist with additional administrative and auditing functions as needed.

High school diploma or GED required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
