Job Overview
Detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist as a key member of the purchasing and logisitics staff. Responsible for the mechanics of purchasing and will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that our organization secures high-quality materials and services at competitive prices. MRO purchasing and reporting, this position requires a strong understanding of supply chain logistics, inventory control, negotiiation skills. Manage supplier relationships effectively and sourcing strategies to optimize purchasing operations to ensure that all necessary materials are available when needed.
Responsibilities
- Purchasing
- Create all purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory items (MRO) in the ERP system
- Create and manage approval documents for purchases, track and confirm
- Transmit purchase orders to suppliers, ensure receipt and confirmation
- Daily management of the Open Purchase orders, contacting suppliers for updates
- Investigate and cure any discrepancies between purchase order price and supplier invoice
- Cost effective management of transportation of purchased materials
- Solicit quotations from suppliers in support of engineering
- Manage the MRO spend, including supplies and repair parts, included but not limited to demand management, sourcing and purchasing
- Participate in the annual physical count.
- Daily review and publications of the PP Tracking, Open POs and PO History reports
- Analysis of purchasing as required
- Lead or participate in special projects that interface core duties and responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS
- Intermediate level skills in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Trainable in ERP transaction understanding and processing
- Team player, able to work with purchasing and logistics team and affiliations with professionalism and support.
- Able to communicate with internal customers and suppliers in a professional manner
- Fluent in English
- Capable of working in varying environmental conditions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Desirable Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or Sciences
· 2+ years experience in purchasing role
· Experience with ERP/MRP/SAGE systems and functions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
