A premium cold plunge and hydrotherapy manufacturer is hiring a remote contract engineer to take ownership of an active build pipeline — currently around 20 deadline-critical units across a dozen-plus customers — coordinating a fabrication team and resolving open engineering questions across chlorine systems, international electrical builds, and custom stainless configurations. Remote to start, with potential transition to a planned U.S. manufacturing facility.
What you'll do
- Own and organize the active build queue, coordinating remotely with the fabrication crew to keep deadline-critical units moving through assembly
- Solve open engineering problems on equipment and controls — e.g., reconciling freeze-protection requirements against chiller and control-system constraints
- Engineer chlorine drip and water-chemistry systems across multiple product models
- Finalize stainless steel skimmer designs and custom build specs
- Spec and source components for international electrical builds (220–230V, 50/60Hz)
- Produce permit-grade cut sheets and documentation for code and DOH approvals
What we're looking for
- Hands-on background in pool/spa systems engineering, fabrication, or equipment service
- Strong water chemistry and sanitation knowledge (chlorine drip systems in particular)
- Experience with international electrical standards and component sourcing
- Stainless steel fabrication and welding familiarity, especially skimmer and circulation design
- Comfortable working remotely, self-directed, and rigorous about documentation
- Open to occasional travel and eventual relocation for an on-site role
Details
- 1099 contract, remote to start
- Compensation based on experience [add range]
To apply, send a short note on your relevant systems and fabrication experience plus any portfolio of past builds.
