Rogue Valley Door is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations through electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
The ideal candidate is a safety-focused professional with strong attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment. Experience with millwork equipment and refurbishment is preferred.
This is a full-time position with variable days and hours. Benefits are available after 60 days of employment. Pay is dependent on experience (DOE).

Must possess and maintain an Oregon Limited Plant Journeyman Electrical License

Minimum 4–5 years of Journeyman Electrician experience

Experience with industrial electrical systems and plant maintenance preferred

Experience refurbishing millwork equipment preferred

Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and procedures

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and job specifications

Knowledge of and ability to follow the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently

Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision

Must be able to work collaboratively with plant employees and maintenance teams
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Repair and install motor controls and electrical circuits

Install, troubleshoot, and repair components within motor control circuits

Plan, layout, and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to job specifications and local electrical codes

Install wire in conduit systems, including terminations and switches

Ensure all electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code and company safety standards

Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs

Complete preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment

Perform plant maintenance functions with minimal direct supervision

Respond to unscheduled plant repair and rework needs, including off-shift requests as needed

Maintain certification to operate mobile equipment, including forklifts and man lifts

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Work effectively with other departments as part of a team effort

Assist in other areas of the facility as needed
