Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented PHC Clerk/Coordinator to support our healthcare operations in Cameron County. The ideal candidate will excel at handling multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth administrative workflows and effective communication across departments. This role requires a strong foundation in medical office procedures, medical terminology, and administrative support, with an emphasis on delivering exceptional service in a healthcare setting.
Duties
- Manage patient records, appointments, and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and external agencies to facilitate seamless service delivery.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries professionally while providing clear information about services and scheduling.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies related to patient privacy and safety.
- Perform data entry and administrative tasks efficiently to support daily operations in a busy healthcare environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures related to healthcare services.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in office software applications.
- Experience working in dental or similar healthcare offices is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse populations including patients, staff, and external partners.
