We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to prevent issues before they arise.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, hand tools, and other diagnostic devices to restore functionality swiftly.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and plumbing repairs to maintain the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of the hotel.
- Maintain facilities equipment including elevators, lighting fixtures, HVAC units, and other mechanical systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and system upgrades.
- Lead maintenance projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical work, or HVAC system repairs with safety and precision.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff while ensuring minimal disruption.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed for compliance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations within a hospitality or similar environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system repair, welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and general facilities equipment maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) procedures, and the use of hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, ohmmeters, etc.
- Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical diagnostic tools effectively.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including troubleshooting refrigerant issues and performing repairs on heating/cooling units.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and collaboration with team members.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders or scaffolding as needed for building interior maintenance tasks.
