Village Wellness is seeking Behavior Therapists (Level 1 and Level 2 EIDBI Providers) to join our growing family. As a Behavior Therapist, you will be trained to provide ABA and/or EIDBI services to a diverse caseload of 1-2 clients whose ages range from 3 to 13 years old. You will work one-on-one with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Qualifications:
- Candidates must qualify as a Level 1 or Level 2 EIDBI provider
- Candidates must pass a criminal background check
- Candidates must be interested in working with children with ASD
- Have a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, education, social work)
- Enrolled in a Master's-Level program or have completed their Master program in related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plan
- Implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy techniques to address behavioral health concerns
- Provide direct patient care and support during therapy sessions
- Monitor and document patient progress, behaviors, and responses to therapy
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and treatment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals and progress
Students in pursuit of degrees or those who have a degree in ABA or a related field are offered paid Supervised Fieldwork and/or Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork from our team of experienced BCBAs as they work toward eligibility to sit for certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
