Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cashiering and processing payments accurately
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Support food safety standards by adhering to sanitation protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns quickly
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, handle special requests, and promote guest relations
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties when needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments
- Familiarity with POS systems for order entry and management
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous for understanding menu items and preparation processes
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Previous host/hostess experience or serving roles that demonstrate guest relations expertise is beneficial
