Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries, ensuring a positive interaction at all times
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of merchandise
- Upsell complementary products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales goals
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and organizing inventory to maintain an attractive store environment
- Handle retail math calculations accurately for transactions, refunds, and discounts
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries, ensuring clear communication and professionalism
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, cashiering, and retail math principles
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey product knowledge clearly and confidently
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies
- Basic math skills for handling cash drawer balancing, retail transactions, and inventory counts
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail store product knowledge enhances performance in this role
