Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (Mid-Senior Level)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $32-$38/hour (DOE)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician in Cedar Hill, TX. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery, production equipment, and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, industrial controls, PLCs, and automation systems.
- Minimize production downtime by quickly identifying and resolving equipment failures.
- Perform facility maintenance, including welding, fabrication, HVAC, plumbing, piping, structural repairs, and general mechanical work.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, P&IDs, PFDs, and technical documentation.
- Follow OSHA regulations and plant safety standards while maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Inspect machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain maintenance documentation and document control systems.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports to support operational improvements.
- Maintain equipment records within the maintenance database and manage spare parts inventory.
- Train and mentor new employees to enhance maintenance capabilities across the facility.
- Fabricate parts and components for equipment upgrades and repairs.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and specialized maintenance equipment.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proven maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of industrial motors, drives, PLCs, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret ISO drawings, P&IDs, and PFDs.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
Preferred
- Mechanical trade school training.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar software.
- HAZMAT training.
