Responsible for ensuring a high-quality dining experience by greeting residents and guests, overseeing service staff and interacting with residents and guests with, or in the absence of Dining Services Director. Maintain a safe and sanitary dining environment for residents, guests and staff. Assist in training and orientation according to our policies, procedures and standards.
Essential Functions:
- Daily supervision of dining room staff during shifts.
- Ensure resident/guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.
- Assist service staff during meal service as needed. Help maintain expedition of food when necessary.
- Assist greeting and seating of residents when needed.
- Inspect assigned side work is completed at the end of each shift. Complete monthly self-sanitation audit with Dining Services Director according to the sanitation audit tool and operation and sanitation policies.
- Collaborate with all staff to ensure timely room service according to our Tray Service/Pick Up related policy.
- Help to maintain a clean and sanitary condition of work areas, china and equipment. Alert Director of needs of the department quickly.
- Attend all required training, in services, and staff meetings. Meet all department training standards through regulatory training and/or other necessary training modules as required.
- Train and/or revisit training with staff. Oversee the scheduling of servers and bussers to ensure proper coverage at mealtimes.
- All dietary department personnel should follow safety precautions to prevent accidents in food preparation according to our accident prevention in food preparation and prevention of back injury policy.
- Responsible for staying within an assigned budget.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
Level of Formal Education: High School Diploma
Years of Experience: Entry-level (0-3+ years)
Type of Experience: Previous food service experience
Special Certifications: SERV-SAFE Certified or equivalent. Obtain/hold any required local, state, and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates
Skills and Ability:
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- Information Systems: Basic computer skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
