Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team, providing high-quality patient care across various medical settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience, including critical care, emergency medicine, and specialized areas such as ophthalmology, cardiology, and long-term care. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations.
- Administer medications and injections accurately while following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Manage airway support with ventilator care and perform advanced procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and tube feeding.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation of medical records and clinical notes.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and medical imaging procedures such as sonography or mammography when applicable.
- Provide specialized care for patients with complex conditions such as trauma (Level I & II trauma center experience), ICU cases, post-acute needs, hospice & palliative medicine, dementia or Alzheimer’s care, and infectious disease management.
- Coordinate discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless transition of care across settings including outpatient clinics, home care, or sub-acute facilities.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive patient information.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive health coaching and education tailored to individual needs.
- Ensure infection control standards are rigorously followed during all procedures including sterile processing and ostomy care.
Experience
- Proven clinical experience in hospital medicine, ICU (including PICU), emergency room or urgent care settings is required.
- Prior experience working with diverse populations such as pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (including memory care), behavioral health patients, or those with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding and CPT coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Experience administering IV infusions, performing venipuncture/Phlebotomy, managing airway devices like ventilators or tracheostomies is essential.
- Knowledge of pharmacology related to acute pain management and medication administration protocols is necessary.
- Additional skills in esthetic laser treatments or DME are advantageous but not required.
