Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment, and mechanical components.
- Perform repairs on electrical systems using schematics, hand tools, electrical equipment repair techniques, and troubleshooting tools like ohmmeters.
- Maintain HVAC systems by diagnosing issues, repairing components, and ensuring optimal operation through HVAC system repair knowledge.
- Carry out plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and maintaining plumbing infrastructure.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics to troubleshoot and repair complex facility systems efficiently.
- Execute carpentry tasks such as repairs to building interior elements or facilities maintenance projects requiring mechanical knowledge.
- Support maintenance painting projects to improve the appearance of interior spaces while adhering to safety standards.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely while performing general facilities equipment maintenance and repair tasks.
- Assist with maintenance painting projects for residential or commercial interiors to uphold aesthetic standards.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory.
- Supervise or assist with small teams or contractors during specific projects when needed, demonstrating leadership qualities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics and electrical wiring is essential.
- Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair as well as HVAC system troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, electrical equipment repair devices, and testing instruments such as ohmmeters confidently.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and electrical work standards.
- Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), including the use of CMMS software for work order management.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and coordination with team members or contractors.
- Supervising experience is a plus; leadership qualities are valued for potential growth opportunities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely.
