Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of Beer, Wine, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and beverage stations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such Square to accurately process orders and payments while handling cash or credit transactions responsibly.
- Encourage an atmosphere that enhances guest experiences and attracts repeat customers.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages, merchandise, and supplies; communicate needs for restocking to management proactively.
- Ensure compliance with all New Mexico Alcohol Beverage Control regulations and responsible serving practices to promote a safe environment for guests and staff alike.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a bartender in fine dining establishments or similar high-end environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of craft beer styles, wine varieties, and brewing processes.
- Strong skills in time management to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy service hours.
- Proven ability in sales techniques to upsell drinks and promote specials effectively.
- Experience with POS systems such as Square POS is advantageous.
- Background in food handling, food safety protocols, or banquet service is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Honesty and the ability to work independently a must.
- Weekend shifts required.
