A Day in the Life of a Imaging Informatics Administrator
The Imaging Informatics Administrator is responsible for core imaging informatics security maintenance, quality assurance, quality control, training, systems troubleshooting, and coordination of system upgrades. The Administrator works closely with health system staff, affiliate staff, referring physicians and vendors to ensure all connectivity and systems work in unison.

Here is What You Will Be Doing:-
Supervises day-to-day operations of the imaging informatics and ancillary systems. Includes equipment, proper workflow, network transmission, and imaging systems.
- Validates, develops, maintains, and troubleshoots imaging systems.
- Implements and provides technical support for imaging informatics components.
- Assists in providing 24/7 on call support for all imaging informatics systems.
- Develops training documentation and curriculum making sure to utilize said documents when providing oversight and advisement to new and existing employees.
- Monitors, evaluates, and improve performance metrics related to the imaging informatics systems. Inform users of the status of enhancements, new software, and hardware releases.
- Oversees and approves performance testing for all relevant applications, upgrades, workflows and integrated testing while working closely with team members/modalities that could be affected.
- Performs audits and prepares reports for administration on all aspects of department operations as requested.
- Oversees, distributes, requests and works closely with hospital departments regarding distribution of dosimeter badges.

- Able to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving ability quickly and effectively to resolve issues
- Proficiency in DICOM, HL7, IHE, Crystal, Microsoft, SQL, PACS, RIS, EPIC, and all imaging related applications
- Ability to work well under pressure and on concurrent, multidisciplinary projects
