Job Title: Equipment Operator II
Reports to: Excavation Manager
Job Goal: Equipment Operator II job is to assist excavation manager and field crew with clearing, grading and other miscellaneous tasks as needed to keep jobs streamlined.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Operating skid steer/excavator for clearing lots, digging basements, backfilling, spreading gravel for driveways, prepping foundation wall, prepping concrete slabs, cleaning yards from debris, installing septic systems etc.
· Operating backhoe for installing septic systems etc.
· Operating Excavator for clearing lots, digging basement etc.
· Operating Mini Excavator for digging small trenches for utilities, downspout pipe offs, lot clearing etc.
· Uses excavating machinery to dig holes and trenches used in structural concrete.
· Yard installation. Would include grading, power raking, hand raking, seed/fertilizer, and straw matting etc.
· Transports tools, machinery, and other construction equipment to and from construction sites as needed.
· Hauls stone, dirt, debris as needed with dump truck.
· Performs or schedules routine maintenance for equipment.
· Assist as needed field crew keeping job sites clean (interior and exterior): Includes cleaning up trash, sweeping, shop vacuuming before flooring, cabinets are installed etc.
· Assist field crew with prepping basement slabs, garage slabs, porches, patios, driveways/parking pads.
· Assist field crew with prepping and pouring Concrete: HVAC Pads, Above Ground Propane Tank Pads, Parking Pads, Sidewalks, Patios, Porches etc.
· Assist field crew with building decks, setting exterior posts, setting windows (as needed).
· Use/Implement BuilderTrend Daily. Using To Dos, Calendar, Daily Logs.
Ways for Promotion: (Becoming Crew Lead/Foreman)
· Can Prep Concrete Pads with no guidance and instruct others.
· Become self-sufficient on equipment with no guidance and instruct others.
· Can communicate with FGB team members, clients, and subcontractors clearly and professionally.
· Can read plans, layout, and install footings.
· Self-Sufficient with excavation needed for utilities (water line trenching, downspout pipe etc).
· Installation of yards with no guidance.
· Read septic system permits/designs and be able to order materials as needed and install with no guidance.

· Self-Starter.
· Can communicate well.
· Personable with subcontractors and clients.
CDL license is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
