Hospice of Marion County, a part of Empath Health is seeking a Practice Operations Manager (LCSW) to join our Palliative Care team.
The Practice Operations Manager will be a blended clinical and administrative role responsible with the Empath Community Health Leadership for the overall day-to-day operations, development, and success of the Palliative Care division. The Practice Operations Manager will work to develop business strategies, manage budgets, and oversee the day-to-day operations (scheduling, productivity, billing, collections, etc.). They will ensure that the business needs of the practice are met, efficiencies are achieved and actively work to recruit new patients. Serves as a liaison in collaboration with business development for growth and promoting full-life care model. The clinical responsibilities include supporting the psychosocial needs of the palliative team patients. The social worker completes a psychosocial assessment of each patient and family and provides medical social work services and case management support to all assigned palliative care patients and their families based on the patient/family need and acceptance of these services. The social worker is responsible to assist the patient/family in reaching the maximum benefit from palliative care services.

What you'll Do
- Primary function is to implement Empath Health Medical Services and Palliative Care policies and procedures in to ensure an efficient and organized operation of the practice. (Support human resources, medical records, payroll, etc.)
- When assigned, design and develop or revise Palliative Care policies and procedures in collaboration with the Empath Medical Services Leadership.
- Works with leadership and team members to develop business strategies, efficiencies, and high-quality patient services.
- Acts as a liaison with physicians, nurse practitioners and other medical practice employees to ensure oversight and necessary support.
- Assist the Medical Director with the implementation of practice and department budgets.
- Oversee financial operations for assigned practice locations including analyzing financial reports; invoice approval; oversees local office leases; maintains and updates contract files; maintains vendor relations; and resolves billing issues, if applicable and assigned.
- Oversees daily practice operations, including scheduling, billing procedures, debt collections, policies and procedures, etc.
- Analyzes daily workflow of clinical practice staff and implements changes as necessary in partnership with the leadership team of the practice.

What You'll Need
Has a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, has at least one year of social work experience in a healthcare setting (the one-year Masters level internship would meet this requirement) and has a current Florida license or is registered with the State of Florida as a Registered Intern actively working on licensure.
Minimum of three years mid-level practice administration experience or related management experience
Medical practice manager certification such as the CPPM preferred
Knowledge of Hospice, Palliative, or Primary care practice operations experience a plus
An equivalent combination of professional experience and education may be considered as meeting the Education/Professional requirements
LCSW or registered social work intern licensed eligible
