We are currently looking to add two new customer service specialists to our team!
Part-time opener with the following consistent weekly schedule:
Wednesday / Friday: 9:30am - 5:30p - (other weekday availability is a plus!)
Rotating weekend days: Saturday / Sunday: 8 or 8:30am - 2:30 or 4:30pm
Like most bakeries, the increased volume of orders we see around major holidays (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas), means that we have “black out days” prior to those holidays. During those times, full availability is mandatory, and schedules will be dictated by management. We are always closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.
Goldenrod Pastries closes for 7-14 days after Christmas every year, based on previous year’s sales. Employees who have worked for six months before this break will be paid 100% for this time off. Employees who have worked for less than six months before this break will be paid 50% for this time off.
- Helping customers with a cheerful demeanor and prioritizing the customer experience
- Packing, labeling, wrapping, and taking orders
- Stocking products
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the storefront based on Goldenrod’s and Lancaster County Health Department’s codes.
- Taking and maintaining inventories
- Cleaning & dishwashing
- This role asks that you:
- Are punctual and reliable
- Have an attitude that balances collaboration and self-motivation
- Have enthusiasm for helping customers
- Work well both independently and with others
- Are able to follow directions, pay attention to detail, and problem solve
- Keep a clean & organized work station throughout your shift
- Are able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Are able to lift 10-30 pounds repetitively
- Are able to gain and retain detailed knowledge of all products & their ingredients
- Have basic knowledge of food safety (must acquire or have a food handler’s permit)
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous restaurant, café, ice cream, or baking experience
