Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on forklifts and other heavy equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, OEM manuals, and electrical testing tools; execute repairs with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic instruments.
- Conduct repairs on transmissions, engines, hydraulics, suspension systems, and brakes (including air brake systems) to optimal working condition.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs to track equipment history and upcoming service needs.
- Support heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment such as cranes or forklifts during repair or installation processes.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy machinery repair in dealership settings or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with OEM parts catalogs and schematics for troubleshooting complex systems on farm machinery, industrial equipment, or automotive vehicles.
- Hands-on experience with diesel, LPG, and gasoline engines. Transmissions, electrical diagnostics, and brake repair.
- Knowledge of forklift operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with vehicle maintenance procedures and power tools usage.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with internal teams or external clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs. Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
