Join our team as a Traffic Control - Flagger in the Pittsburgh area. In this role, you will be vital in maintaining safety and efficient traffic flow around our construction sites, supporting our mission to deliver reliable utility services.
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic safely around construction zones using proper signaling techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and the public.
- Assist in setting up traffic control devices and signage.
- Monitor work zones for hazards and report issues promptly.
- Support construction crews by maintaining clear traffic pathways.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience as a flagger or in traffic control/construction roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety standards.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills.
- Valid certification or training in flagging preferred (company will provide training if not currently certified)
- Ability to stay alert and attentive for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety.
- Willingness to learn necessary skills and acquire proper certifications
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation to job site or designated meeting location
- Strong attendance and punctuality
- Must pass drug screening
