About Mr. Excavator
Mr. Excavator, Inc. is a growing construction company providing excavation, site development, underground utility, and related construction services throughout Ohio and the surrounding region.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who understands how accounting fits together, not simply how to process transactions.
The right person will be comfortable digging into an account when something doesn't look right, tracing transactions through the accounting system, reconciling balances, and working with other members of the accounting department to resolve issues.
We would especially like to meet candidates who:
- Have a strong overall accounting foundation
- Understand general ledger accounting
- Enjoy reconciliations and problem solving
- Are naturally detail-oriented
- Take ownership of their work
- Question inconsistencies instead of simply processing around them
- Enjoy creating organization and improving processes
- Can communicate accounting issues clearly to non-accounting personnel
- Are comfortable learning new systems
- Want to grow professionally as the company continues to expand
Experience in construction is beneficial, but we are more interested in finding a strong accountant than limiting our search to someone who has previously worked for a construction company.
Candidates from public accounting, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, construction, and other accounting-intensive industries are encouraged to apply.
