JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Cafeteria/Recess Monitor
POSITION SUMMARY: Assists and supervises students during lunch and recess providing a safe environment to support student learning.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supervises students during lunch and/or recess periods.

Ensures that students maintain order during lunch and/or recess.

Monitors student behavior supporting a positive school environment.

Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with students, parents, and other employees.

Requires daily attendance to best meet students’ needs.
Vocational Preparation: (Experience and Basic Requirements)

Experience working in some capacity with children; preferably in a school setting.
Education Preparation: (Formal and Informal)

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Demands (Strength and Work Environment)
