Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee complex construction and engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and according to quality standards. Your expertise in civil and mechanical engineering, project management, and technical drafting will be instrumental in driving project success from inception through completion. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction projects utilizing project management tools such as project scheduling software.
- Develop detailed project scopes, budgets, and timelines while managing resources effectively across multiple teams.
- Prepare comprehensive construction estimates using construction estimating techniques and tools.
- Oversee construction inspection activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Utilize CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and Land Surveying tools for drafting schematics and system designs.
- Apply GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology for spatial analysis related to pipeline routing, land surveying, and environmental assessments.
- Collaborate with geotechnical engineers, water treatment specialists, and hydraulics experts to develop system designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation through technical writing skills for project proposals, progress updates, and final reports.
- Coordinate with construction teams to ensure adherence to project schedules using tools like Bluebeam and Schematics review platforms.
- Conduct construction management activities including site supervision, safety inspections, and quality assurance measures.
Skills
- Proficiency in project scheduling software and construction management platforms.
- Extensive experience with CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and drafting tools like Schematics.
- Strong knowledge of GIS applications including ArcGIS for spatial data analysis.
- Expertise in construction estimating methods and techniques for civil engineering projects.
- Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software such as SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) and HEC (Hydrologic Engineering Centers models).
- Ability to manage complex pipeline projects involving system design for water or wastewater infrastructure.
- Skilled in technical writing for reports, proposals, and project documentation.
- Deep understanding of geotechnical engineering principles relevant to construction sites.
- Knowledge of land surveying techniques combined with experience in system design for civil engineering projects.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $94,823.49 - $114,196.03 per year
