Long Island food manufacturer seeking Production Workers/Operators to join our growing team in Hauppauge. Gourmet Factory is a family-owned company with deep Mediterranean roots, passionate about olive oil, olives, and Mediterranean cuisine. Responsibilities:
- Operate and assemble products according to supervisor instructions.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, and quality guidelines.
- Responsible for completing Packaging Filling Records.
- Visually inspect labels for defects and run samples.
- Record all machine actions by completing production logs.
- Meet or exceed daily production goals as part of a team.
- Load/unload materials from machines, conveyors, and pallets.
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Monitor machinery and report any issues right away.
- Keep your workstation clean, organized, and safe.
- Always wear all required PPE.
- Rotate to different positions along the production line as needed.
- Help maintain a safe and food-compliant work environment.
- Perform other general production duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be able to speak, and understand ENGLISH (to follow safety and production instructions)
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Mandatory overtime as needed (including Saturdays).
- Prior manufacturing or food production experience is a plus.
- Able to stand, bend, and move for at least 8 hour shifts.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to great attendance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Must be able to commute reliably.
