Front Desk Lead — Pura Vida Medspa
Location: Fulton, MD Compensation: $21–$25/hour + team performance bonus Schedule: Full-time | Tuesday–Saturday, including some evenings

The Role
This is not your average front desk job. As our Front Desk Lead, you are the first impression, the closer, the problem-solver, and the steady presence that keeps the front of house running beautifully. You'll manage the day-to-day flow of the spa while actively driving retail and service sales — and your natural ability to lead will show in how you support and guide the people around you.
You're organized, personable, and sharp. You don't wait to be told what needs to be done — you see it and handle it.
What You'll Do
- Greet and check in clients with warmth and professionalism
- Manage scheduling, confirmations, cancellations, and waitlists
- Educate clients on services, packages, and retail products — and confidently guide them toward the right recommendations
- Drive front desk sales and meet monthly performance targets
- Handle client concerns with poise and find solutions quickly
- Foster a positive, professional atmosphere at the front desk and help the team put their best foot forward
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked front desk and retail area
- Coordinate with providers and back-of-house team to keep operations running smoothly
- Assist management with reporting, inventory, and administrative tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of front desk experience, ideally in a medical spa, aesthetic practice, salon, or luxury service environment
- Proven sales ability — you're comfortable recommending services and closing memberships or packages
- A calm, grounded presence; someone who brings stability to a busy environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; you can read a room
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational habits
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment without dropping the ball
- A proactive mindset — you identify problems before they become problems
- A professional, polished demeanor and a genuine appreciation for a well-run workplace
- Comfortable with booking software and POS systems; experience with Zenoti a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in aesthetics, skincare, or wellness (personal or professional)
- Familiarity with medical spa compliance and HIPAA basics
- Spanish or other language fluency
