Join our dynamic team as a Transportation Safety & Operations Coordinator, where you'll be at the forefront of ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant road transportation activities. This vital role combines logistical coordination, safety oversight, and operational management to support our supply chain excellence. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling multiple responsibilities and working in a fast-paced transportation and diesel repair environment. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, able to stay on top of deadlines, and willing to take ownership of their responsibilities. This is a key position that will work across two companies — Hinton Auto Transport, Inc. and H.A.T. Mobile Diesel Repair.
Responsibilities For Hinton Auto Transport
- Transportation Safety & Compliance — Hinton Auto Transport
- Assist with day-to-day DOT and FMCSA safety and compliance responsibilities
- Maintain accurate driver qualification and safety records
- Review and manage driver logs through Motive
- Identify log violations, missing information, and compliance concerns
- Maintain vehicle and equipment maintenance records
- Track required inspections, services, and preventative maintenance
- Assist with truck and equipment testing and documentation
- Maintain organized records for company trucks and owner-operators
- Help ensure company policies and DOT requirements are being followed
- Assist management with safety reviews, audits, and compliance documentation
Responsibilities For H.A.T. Mobile Diesel Repair
- Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain parts and shop inventory
- Track parts received, used, and ordered
- Assist with inventory counts and audits
- Maintain repair and maintenance records
- Help track work orders and completed repairs
- Coordinate information between the repair shop and Hinton Auto Transport
- Assist with general office and administrative responsibilities as needed
Skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage responsibilities for two separate companies
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- Comfortable learning and working with transportation and repair-management systems
- Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations is strongly preferred
- Transportation, trucking, fleet-management, safety, or diesel repair office experience is a plus
- Experience with invoicing and inventory management is preferred
- Ability to communicate professionally with drivers, mechanics, customers, vendors, and management
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow through without constant supervision
- Dependable, professional, and willing to learn

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
