Responsibilities
- Monitor building entrances, common areas, and surrounding grounds;
- Patrol the property and report safety or security concerns;
- Enforce building rules and access control procedures;
- Respond to incidents, emergencies and resident concerns;
- Prepare detailed incident and activity reports;
- Coordinate with management, maintenance, emergency personnel, and law enforcement when necessary;
- Monitor security cameras and building systems; and
- Maintain professional interactions at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Security Guard License required;
- High school diploma or GED required;
- Prior residential security experience preferred;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations;
- Basic computer knowledge and report-writing ability;
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance; and
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed.
