We have a full-time opening for a Warehouse Associate & Assistant Driver at Treasure House with a starting rate of $17/hour. Below is the schedule needing to be filled:

Position Description
The Warehouse Associate & Assistant Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the Treasure House warehouse is organized, efficient, and safe. Occasionally, the Warehouse Associate & Assistant Driver will be a frontline representative of The Rescue Mission assisting the driver with donation pickups, deliveries of customer purchased items, and transporting recycled materials to salvage locations. The Warehouse Associate & Assistant Driver should have the heart of a servant in accordance with Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Maintain an orderly warehouse by baling clothes, managing trash, loading and unloading trucks, and supporting the donation area as needed.

Clean, price, and display furniture on the sales floor.

Address customer inquiries regarding furniture and assist with sales.

Assist the primary driver, as needed, by picking up and unloading scheduled donations, delivering customer purchased items, and transporting recycled materials to salvage locations.
Other Duties

Attend quarterly All Staff meetings.

Education Training and Experience
-
High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

1 year experience as a driver.

Box Truck Driving experience preferred, CDL not required.

Forklift experience and certification, preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.

Basic computer skills with knowledge of internet and email.

Ability to work with individuals of various socio-economic, ethnic, and racial populations.

Ability to comply with personal and business requirements and expectations as detailed in the Employee Handbook.

Knowledge of truck operating system in order to identify problem areas and assist with preventative maintenance of vehicles.

Ability to communicate with customers, donors, co-workers, and volunteers in a professional manner.

Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
