Bartender
WIT’S END Comedy Club is seeking an experienced bartender to join our team. We are looking for energetic, reliable professionals who can provide outstanding guest service in a fast-paced entertainment venue. Our bartenders play a key role in creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere while delivering exceptional hospitality and maintaining responsible alcohol service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and company standards
- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional customer service to all guests
- Accurately process cash and credit card transactions through the POS system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift
- Check identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulations
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible alcohol service
- Recommend drinks, upsell premium products, and promote featured specials
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and inventory tasks
- Work efficiently during high-volume events and show nights
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure a positive guest experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of bartending experience required
- Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and classic cocktails
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
- Current alcohol server certification (TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or equivalent)
- Experience in high-volume bars, restaurants, entertainment venues, or nightlife settings
- Familiarity with POS systems
Schedule
- Primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Part-time position with opportunities for additional shifts based on business needs
