Job Purpose
At Elite Metal Finishing LLC., the Delivery Driver is a reliable person who is concerned with customer satisfaction and transporting customer parts in a safe, timely manner. The delivery driver will pick up and drop off parts while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. You should be willing to work as part of the Shipping & Receiving, as well as the Production teams to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct client.
To succeed as a delivery driver, you should be polite and prompt with commitment to providing our clients with excellent customer service. You should be thorough in ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to working safely, and passionate about satisfying clients.
The Delivery Driver supports Elite Metal Finishing quality initiatives, which includes Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Management System and drives continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Loading, transporting, picking up and delivering parts to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
- Reviewing and loading orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and the customer is satisfied.
- Assisting with loading and unloading of parts or items from vehicles.
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and relaying complaints from clients.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
- Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license issued by the state where you intend to work.
- Clean driving record.
- Special licenses may be required to operate certain vehicles or equipment such as a forklift.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Attention to detail.
Physical Requirements

- Stand position; Must be able to remain standing positions 30% of shift.
- Sit position – Must be able to remain sitting position for up to 70% of the shift.
- Walk Move - The person in this position needs to constantly move throughout departments, companies, and buildings.
- Use hands/fingers to handle or feel – equipment, pick, pack inspect, place, detect, position parts on tables, crates, and packaging materials and boxes.
- Talk/hear Communicate - Converse - The person in this position frequently communicates with management, other supervisors, employees, and customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in a professional manner, in these situations.
- See - detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, assess, parts, drawings, and documents.
- Carry, lift, move, transport, position, install, remove, parts up to 50 pounds, above and below waist level.
