Carpet Factory Outlet is a family owned and operated company that has been a leader in the local flooring industry since 1970. We are seeking a reliable and diligent Delivery Truck Driver that is looking to join our growing team and help us deliver top notch service to our customers.
Job Description:
You will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to both our customers and stores while being a member of our warehouse team and helping with warehouse operations. You will be responsible for transporting our carpet and flooring products safely while providing outstanding customer service during each delivery. This position requires strong driving skills, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company-owned delivery truck to transport carpets and flooring materials to homes, businesses, and our retail locations.
- Load and unload deliveries with care, ensuring all products are securely packed to prevent damage during transport.
- Review and confirm delivery schedules, addresses, and customer details before departure.
- Provide exceptional customer service by being friendly, professional, and attentive during deliveries.
- Communicate with the warehouse team to verify order accuracy and loading procedures.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure safe driving practices.
- Be a part of our warehouse team assisting with warehouse work. This will entail but is not limited to helping load the delivery truck, unload the delivery truck, and on days where there is not a full delivery schedule assisting with warehouse work.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in delivery or driving positions preferred (ideally in construction or home delivery).
- Ability to lift heavy items (50+ lbs) and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Pay:
$17-$20 hour base pay plus incentive program to earn extra
Job Type: Full-time
