Sage House Counseling & Art Therapy is looking for an experienced Mental Health Therapist to join our team. Come work with a thriving and dynamic private practice in Reston, Virginia!
Sage House provides counseling, art therapy, play therapy and sand tray therapy for adults, children, adolescents and families. We are a welcoming and supportive environment of other therapists.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide in-person play and art based therapy & talk therapy/ counseling to children and adolescents.
- Must be available at least four days a week to provide evening/after school sessions.
- Position is full-time (18-20 sessions per week)
Qualifications:
- M.A. in the mental health field- Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Art Therapy or related field.
- Must have an active license, in good standing in the state of Virginia- qualifying licenses include LPC, LMFT and LCSW.
- MA & Certification in Art Therapy (ATR-P, ATR or ATR-BC) is a plus.
- Prior experience working with children, adolescents and families.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed therapy.
- Value a creative and holistic approach.
- Eager to engage with clients grow within the private practice setting and be an active member of our clinical team.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Experience:
- child and teen therapy: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- License in Mental Health (i.e. LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in Virginia (Preferred)
