Position Overview
LIV Recovery is seeking an Overnight Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) who will provide steady, compassionate support to clients and help maintain a safe, structured recovery environment during overnight hours. This full-time overnight role works from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and pays $18.00 per hour. In this role, you will help create a calm and supportive atmosphere, monitor client well-being, encourage healthy routines, complete documentation, and help ensure residents feel safe, respected, and cared for throughout the night.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
· Self-Care & Advocacy: Teach self-care and advocacy strategies to help clients stay drug and alcohol free during program participation.
· Empathy & Understanding: Show respect and empathy for those facing serious mental health issues through understanding and shared experiences.
· Mission & Values Adherence: Consistently uphold the LIV Recovery mission and values by following all policies and demonstrating professional conduct.
· Effective Communication: Communicate clearly with staff and clients.
· Goal Achievement: Support clients individually and in groups to reach their goals and facilitate recovery activities.
· Symptom Management & Participation: Escort clients to appointments when needed, monitor recovery (bed-checks, urinalysis), and lead group sessions as outlined in care plans.
· Promoting Wellness: Support recovery efforts, encourage healthy habits, and ensure a safe environment by monitoring sobriety and promoting daily responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills
· Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and follow-through
· Ability to remain alert, dependable, and professional during overnight hours
· Effective communication and collaboration with clients, peers, and clinical staff
· Ability to monitor residents and respond appropriately to changes in behavior or condition
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Commitment to supporting individuals in recovery with empathy, consistency, and respect
Education and Experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent required
· Minimum of one year of continuous recovery
· Previous experience working in behavioral health, recovery, or residential care settings preferred
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work is performed in our men's residential recovery environment located at 1430 Wright St., St. Louis, MO 63107. This overnight position requires attentiveness, reliability, and the ability to support residents in a calm, structured setting during evening and early morning hours.
