Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our vibrant restaurant team! Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to set a positive tone for their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems like OpenTable or other cash handling tools, including cash, credit cards, and digital payments
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including food safety standards, wine pairings, cocktail recipes, and food preparation details
- Clear tables promptly by bussing dishes and assisting with sanitation procedures to uphold cleanliness standards
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation when needed in coordination with kitchen staff
- Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing any concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Support team members by sharing responsibilities such as host/hostess duties or assisting with food industry best practices
Qualifications
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Clover POS system or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and food safety protocols
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and process sales efficiently
- Basic math skills for order calculations and payment processing
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and proper food handling procedures
