Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will support attorneys across a wide range of litigation matters covering both New York and New Jersey tort laws, ensuring smooth case progression from inception through resolution.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case investigation, discovery, motion, trial preparation, and post-trial activities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using research tools to support case strategies
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and contracts with precision and clarity
- Manage case files ensuring accurate organization and timely updates
- Coordinate depositions, interviews, and client meetings while maintaining detailed records of proceedings
- Review and analyze documents for relevance and privilege during document review processes
- Prepare summaries of case files, timelines, and legal research findings for attorney review
- Support administrative tasks including data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription, and maintaining calendars for court deadlines and appointments
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, vendors, and internal teams via phone etiquette and professional correspondence
- Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining organizational excellence
Experience
- Proven paralegal experience in torts litigation or related legal fields
- Familiarity with personal injury law
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed reports o memos
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in document review and proofreading
- Effective written communication skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys or teams in a fast-paced law office environment
- Strong project management capabilities to handle complex caseloads efficiently
Qualification
Pay: $57,971.86 - $69,815.57 per year
