About the Role
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Installers\*Technicians* to support the installation of conveyor and material handling systems at distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and parcel facilities across the United States.
This is a hands-on field position ideal for candidates with experience installing conveyor systems, sortation equipment, structural steel, and warehouse automation equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install mechanical conveyor and material handling equipment
- Assemble and align conveyor systems
- Install structural steel, platforms, walkways, and guarding
- Read and interpret mechanical installation drawings
- Work from installation drawings and bolt schedules
- Perform mechanical adjustments and equipment alignment
- Support commissioning activities following mechanical completion
- Follow OSHA and site safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Travel to customer sites throughout the United States
Preferred Experience
You should ideally have experience installing one or more of the following:
- Belt Conveyors
- Roller Conveyors
- MDR Conveyors
- Crossbelt Sorters
- Sliding Shoe Sorters
- Shoe Sorters
- Spiral Conveyors
- Vertical Lifts
- Pallet Conveyors
- ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems)
- Structural Steel
- Guarding
- Platforms & Walkways
Ideal Background
- Experience working on projects for companies such as: Amazon, UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL or other parcel or distribution facilities.
- Experience working with leading warehouse automation integrators is highly desirable, including: Vanderlande, Dematic, Honeywell Intelligrated, Fortna, Swisslog, TGW, Daifuku, Bastian Solutions, BEUMER, Fives, KNAPP, Witron, MHS Global, Hy-Tek, KPI Solutions, SSI Schaefer, Murata Machinery or viastore
Requirements
- Previous mechanical installation experience on conveyor or material handling systems
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and installation documentation
- Experience aligning and adjusting conveyor systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools
- Comfortable working at heights when required
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
- Experience following LOTO procedures
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel 100% throughout the United States
- Legally authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship
