Seeking passionate and organized Afterschool Care Teachers to join our team and provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for our students. We are a community-centered, non-profit school that offers holistic childcare, with staff members who are genuinely invested in the children’s growth and development.
As an Afterschool Care Teacher, you will be responsible for supervising students, leading activities, and fostering a positive learning environment. You will also work closely with other team members to ensure a smooth and organized daily schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during afterschool hours, ensuring safety and positive behavior.
- Lead fun, interactive, and educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students about daily activities and any concerns.
- Manage student transitions, from outdoor play to structured activities, and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel welcome and valued.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure consistent program quality and improvement.
- Be solution-oriented and able to think on your feet when unexpected challenges arise.

You must be able to handle diverse situations with grace, take initiative when needed, and be solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment. You should also be passionate about working with children and fostering a positive, family-like atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children (in an educational or childcare setting preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle situations calmly and efficiently.
- Value orientated and believe in the inherent value of children.
- A team player who is proactive and willing to collaborate.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).
