General Warehouse Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and freight shipments.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment and tools as authorized and trained.
- Maintain clean aisles, work areas, staging areas, and storage locations.
- Follow warehouse safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.
- Assist with warehouse organization and continuous improvement projects.
- Support coworkers during high-volume shipping and receiving periods.
- Perform other warehouse and exhibit-related duties assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
Position Expectations
The successful employee is expected to:
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Take ownership of assigned shipments, kits, and inventory.
- Follow established receiving, shipping, packing, and return procedures consistently.
- Double-check work rather than assume materials are complete.
- Maintain accurate documentation and photographs when required.
- Communicate immediately when materials are missing, damaged, or inconsistent with documentation.
- Maintain an organized workspace and return materials to their designated locations.
- Handle client-owned exhibit materials with care and professionalism.
- Work efficiently while maintaining accuracy, particularly during deadline-driven periods.
- Be dependable, punctual, and prepared for scheduled shifts.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, shipping, project management, and other departments.
- Be flexible with scheduling during busy trade show periods when shipping and receiving deadlines require additional hours.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, logistics, or fulfillment experience preferred.
- Trade show, exhibit, event production, or display warehouse experience is highly desirable.
- Experience reading packing lists, shipping documents, and inventory records.
- Strong organizational and basic computer skills.
- Ability to accurately count, identify, and track multiple components.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Forklift or pallet jack experience/certification preferred, if applicable.
- Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to the Warehouse Manager.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, climb, push, pull, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials up to the company’s established weight requirement.
- Ability to work around crates, pallets, exhibit structures, warehouse equipment, and freight-loading areas.
Performance Standards
Success in this position will be measured by:
- Accuracy and completeness of exhibit kits.
- Accuracy of receiving and return inspections.
- Reduction of missing or misplaced exhibit components.
- Proper documentation of damaged or missing materials.
- Shipping accuracy and on-time preparation.
- Organization and accuracy of warehouse inventory.
- Proper storage and handling of client-owned materials.
- Compliance with warehouse procedures and safety standards.
- Dependability, communication, teamwork, and overall accountability.
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
