Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Clearly explain recommended repairs and maintenance options, including auto diagnostics, transmissions, brake repair, oil changes, tire service, suspension, alignment, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, and auto body repair
- Prepare accurate auto estimates and service writing documentation for technicians and customers
- Upsell additional services by highlighting benefits that meet customer needs while maintaining transparency
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage service department paperwork efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of all service activities, customer interactions, and vehicle histories
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or auto service management background with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair processes
- Mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, oil changes, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and alignments
- Experience in automotive repair or as a service technician is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Proficiency in auto estimating software and service writing practices
- Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity and transparency with customers
- Familiarity with sales techniques related to automobile sales is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and record keeping
