Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items, ensuring presentation and quality meet established standards
- Maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Operate kitchen appliances such as toasters, coffee machines, blenders, and warming trays efficiently and safely
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling practices to ensure safety and hygiene
- Assist with food preparation tasks including cutting, assembling, and portioning ingredients as needed
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while providing friendly in-person customer service
- Restock buffet stations and dining areas regularly to ensure an appealing presentation for guests
- Follow manual handling protocols when lifting or moving heavy items such as supplies or equipment
- Uphold food safety management standards by adhering to all health regulations and sanitizing procedures at all times
- Support catering or banquet events when required, ensuring timely setup and service
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments, especially in breakfast or fine dining settings
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing portion sizes
- Knowledge of wine or beverage service is a plus but not required
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Ability to handle weight safely in the workplace during setup or cleaning tasks
- Familiarity with catering or banquet experience enhances your versatility in this role
- Previous barista experience or culinary background is advantageous for creating specialty beverages or dishes
