JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Organization Position
Donation Ambassador and Truck Driver
2. Description: Serves as a Donation Ambassador while picking up donations and is courteous to all customers. Responsible as required to efficiently and safely operating the ReStore truck(s).
3. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
a) Age 21 years or older
b) Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
c) Must pass a credit and background check.
d) Ability to lift 100 pounds regularly on a daily basis & use appropriate hand trucks and equipment.
e) Friendly and positive attitude with excellent customer service skills. Maintain an effective working relationship with ReStore staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners and ReStore customers and donors.
f) Ability to perform work that is required to climb stairs, considerable standing, bending and kneeling including heavy lifting.
g) Must conform to all safety policy & procedures.
h) Must be a team player in a busy and fast-paced environment.
I) Properly secure donations to minimize damage.
j) Adhere to donation guidelines policy.
k) Keep truck clean and tidy, properly store equipment.
l) Price, clean, sort and receive donations at the ReStore when not on truck. Transport priced merchandise to the sales floor.
m) Understand and able to communicate the Habitat mission.
n) Undertake other tasks and duties as the need arises.
4. Supervision
The Restore Full-time Donation Ambassador and Truck Driver reports directly to the Restore Manager.
5. Hours of Duty
The Restore Full-time Donation Ambassador and Truck Driver is required to work Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 - 5:00 and Saturday from 8:30 – 4:30.
6. Employment Status
Full-time Non-exempt Hourly Position
Job Type: Full-time
