About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Field Technician to provide expert repair services and technical support for process control instrumentation. In this role, you will ensure the optimal performance of critical equipment, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our clients' operations. Your expertise in instrumentation, process controls, and electrical systems will be essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of pressure, temperature, and differential transmitters, as well as general process instrumentation.
- Calibrate field instruments, including level, pressure, and temperature transmitters, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with process control equipment, such as motor-operated valves and field measurement instruments, to minimize downtime.
- Design and implement mounting solutions for valve and MOV retrofits, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
- Promote service contracts and provide training to customers, enhancing their understanding and utilization of our products and services.
- Take precise field measurements to facilitate the design and retrofit of MOV mounting hardware.
- Troubleshoot electrical components and systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a field service technician or instrumentation technician.
- Proficiency in calibrating field instruments, including level, pressure, and temperature transmitters.
- Solid understanding of process controls and instrumentation principles.
- Strong electrical knowledge, including reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Experience with valve actuators, including electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic types.
- Familiarity with MOV diagnostics and repair.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
