Job Summary:
Peters Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. This role is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and preparing sheet metal ductwork and HVAC components for installation in residential and commercial systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with duct fabrication, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of HVAC experience with a focus on sheet metal and ductwork fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
- Experience operating sheet metal fabrication equipment (shears, brakes, rollers, plasma tables, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC duct systems and fittings
- Ability to measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate rectangular and round ductwork, fittings, and HVAC components
- Interpret job specifications and ensure accurate fabrication of materials
- Operate and maintain shop equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and industry codes
- Organize materials and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Coordinate with installers and field teams to meet project timelines
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
- Comfortable working in a shop environment with varying temperatures
