The full-time schedule is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Occasionally there may be pre-planned events in the evenings as well. Note the department is located on the Immokalee Reservation at 295 Stockade Rd., Immokalee, FL 34142. We provide a fuel stipend if you live more than 40 miles away from the office. There is some day travel to other Reservations as needed in Hollywood, Clewiston, and Okeechobee however you would borrow a departmental car and it would be factored into your work schedule.
Position Summary
The individual in this position performs routine clerical work assisting the Education K-12 Advisor of the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF). The individual enters student data into the computer tracking system, updates and keeps data current, distributes, receives and processes applications for Tribal Scholarships and maintains contacts with students and educational institutions in order to obtain information regarding transcripts, grade reports and registration/class schedules. Work is performed in accordance with specific instructions for established work procedures requiring limited decision making.
Qualifications / Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Associates Degree is preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in bookkeeping functions is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule; including evenings, weekends and holidays.
