Lead Reformer Pilates Instructor (Part-Time)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and inspiring Lead Reformer Pilates Instructor to join our team. In this leadership role, you will not only deliver exceptional group classes and private sessions, but also help shape our instructor team by developing class programming, mentoring instructors, and ensuring a consistently high-quality client experience.
Our studio teaches modern Pilates flows rooted in classical Pilates principles using Balanced Body equipment. We are looking for a leader who is committed to excellence, continuous learning, and fostering a supportive studio culture.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience teaching Reformer Pilates
- 450+ hour comprehensive Pilates teacher training certification
- Extensive knowledge of Pilates principles, anatomy, body mechanics, alignment, and injury prevention
- Passion for health, wellness, and helping others grow
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills
- Reliable, professional, positive, and team-oriented
- Ability to mentor and develop fellow instructors through constructive feedback and ongoing support
- Open to continuous learning and professional development
- Availability to teach early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends
- Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading instructor training or mentoring Pilates instructors
- Experience developing Pilates programming and class sequencing
- Strong client relationship and community-building skills
Responsibilities
- Lead safe, effective, and engaging Reformer Pilates group classes and private sessions
- Provide clear instruction, hands-on guidance when appropriate, and exercise modifications for all fitness levels
- Educate clients on proper technique, body awareness, and movement principles
- Develop and create class plans that are safe, effective, and appropriately challenging, following our modern Pilates methodology based on classical Pilates principles
- Track, evaluate, and review Pilates instructors for teaching proficiency, consistency, and overall performance
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and ongoing support to Pilates instructors while fostering a positive, collaborative, and professional team culture
- Help maintain consistent teaching standards across all classes
- Maintain studio equipment and uphold studio standards
- Support studio events, instructor development initiatives, and community engagement
