The Director of Radiologic Services has the responsibility for the overall direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of the staff within the Radiology Department. The Director may be required to perform any operations of x-ray, CT scans, mammography, and all imaging diagnostic equipment within the department, as well as preparation of various types of diagnostic procedures in accordance with recognized safety standards. Schedule and prepare patients for exams, perform departmental and clerical duties as needed, demonstrate age-specific competencies in the care of the spectrum of patient populations, prepare films for mailing, scan orders, and enter exams in NovaRad for teleradiology read. Further, this position will retrieve radiologic orders from and/or input related data appropriately into the electronic medical record of patients, as well as all other duties as assigned.
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology
Current Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification
Modality specific certification in Mammography by AART
Current BLS certification (AHA or AHSI)
Good listening and communication skills
