KBW has partnered with a growing waste management company in the greater Boston area that's actively looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team! The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role on the accounting team! This role is onsite but has FREE PARKING! This is contract-to-hire and can convert into a permanent role.
Responsibilities:
- Process high-volume invoices and perform 2-way and 3-way matching
- Manage AP activities for international and domestic operations
- Review purchase orders, pricing, and payment terms against invoices
- Process expense reports and ensure timely vendor payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial record maintenance
- Support year-end 1099 preparation and reporting activities
- Support billing and other accounting functions as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 1-3+ years of accounts payable experience
- Ability to work onsite in Somerville
- Strong Excel skills
- Oracle experience is nice to have, not required
Compensation Package: $22-25/hour depending on experience
