Position Summary
Enfield Eagle Academy is seeking a highly organized, flexible, and student-focused Secretary to provide administrative support for both the regular school-year program and the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Enfield Eagle Academy is a unique educational setting serving students with specialized educational and behavioral needs. As such, this position requires adaptability, initiative, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to assume a variety of responsibilities in support of students, families, and staff.
The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the school community, ensuring the efficient operation of the school office and supporting the continuity of services throughout the year.
Essential Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support for Enfield Eagle Academy during both the regular school year and the Extended School Year (ESY) program.

Support the daily operations of the school by maintaining student records, attendance records, confidential files, and other documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements.

Coordinate communications with students, families, staff, transportation providers, community partners, and other stakeholders.

Assist with student enrollment, scheduling, purchasing, data entry, correspondence, recordkeeping, compliance documentation, and reporting requirements.

Maintain accurate program records and ensure the efficient operation and organization of the school office.

Support administrators and staff in meeting the educational, behavioral, and operational needs of the program.

Provide continuity of administrative services between the regular school year and the ESY program, including support for enrollment, attendance, transportation coordination, family communication, and program operations.

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to the unique needs of a specialized educational program serving students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.

Assist with student meal distribution and related food service responsibilities as needed.

Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification as required for food distribution responsibilities; District-provided training and certification will be available.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Building Administrator or designee in support of students, staff, and program operations.
Work Schedule
This position provides year-round continuity of administrative support and consists of:

187 regular school-year workdays

5 workdays immediately preceding the start of the regular school year

5 workdays immediately following the conclusion of the regular school year

Extended School Year (ESY) workdays during July (4 hours per day)

Traditionally, 16 days, 4 hours per day. Subject to change dependent upon program needs and funding.

11 paid holidays
Salary/Benefits

Salary range: $37,500 - 42,500 (based upon qualifications and experience).

Twelve (12) sick days annually, with unused sick leave accumulated and carried over in accordance with District policy.

Five (5) personal days annually.

Health insurance and other Board-approved benefits available to full-time non-union employees.
Qualifications

High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Previous secretarial, administrative assistant, or school office experience preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and student information systems.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple priorities effectively.

Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a collaborative team.

Willingness to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification through District-provided training.
