The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives that drive hotel revenue and market share. This individual will cultivate new business, maintain strong client relationships, analyze market trends, and partner closely with hotel leadership to achieve revenue goals.

Develop and execute the hotel's annual sales and marketing plan in partnership with the General Manager.

Prepare, manage, and monitor the sales budget and revenue goals.

Prospect for new business through networking, cold calling, outside sales, and community involvement.

Build and maintain relationships with corporate accounts, group clients, and local businesses.

Conduct regular sales appointments, property tours, and client presentations.

Analyze market trends, competitor activity, STAR reports, and revenue data to identify growth opportunities.

Collaborate with Revenue Management to maximize occupancy and ADR.
-
Utilize brand-specific sales systems and CRM tools to track leads, sales activity, and production.

Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and community organizations.

Provide sales support and training to hotel team members as appropriate.

Work closely with Operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and client satisfaction.

2+ years of hotel sales experience preferred.

Previous Director of Sales experience preferred but not required for highly qualified candidates.

Experience with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Wyndham, or other major hotel brands is preferred.

Knowledge of hotel sales processes, revenue management principles, and market segmentation.

Experience utilizing brand sales systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.

Proven ability to prospect, develop new business, and maintain long-term client relationships.

Strong networking, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to travel locally for client meetings, networking events, and sales calls.

Associate's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
